2020-2023 / Mysterious Tree / A collection of acrylic paintings on cardboard
"I am sharing some of my ongoing painting collections as I prepare for a potential solo exhibition in the future. These works incorporate symbolic elements such as the moon and lovers meeting beneath a mysterious tree, creating a universal bond between humans and nature. These pieces aim to highlight the profound and universal emotions that can only be revealed or heightened through our inner and pure connection with nature. In these artworks, nature transcends its conventional role as a mere landscape; instead, it serves as a universal connection between all things. We are not going to be an observer in nature but it’s a journey within our nature of mind-emotions."
2017-2020 / Raffles Collection / Random Paintings with different media
"These artworks are not interconnected and were created during my initial early years working at the university. They comprise a blend of earlier collections, oscillating between structured spatial concepts and fluid visual relationships. The demanding teaching lifestyle gradually slowed me down, not allowing for the development of a cohesive collection. In the future, I may revisit and incorporate some of these pieces into series works."
2010-2011 / Poetic Moments / A collection of acrylic paintings on Cnavas
"This period is essentially an exploration of a vibrant palette and a theme of positive solitude. The solitary figure is adorned with rich colors within a dynamic space, and their individual presence conveys an inner vitality in motion."
2009-2010 / Lady’s Transformation & Elham’s Portrait / A collection of acrylic paintings on canvas and ink sketches on cardboard / Solo Exhibition
"This collection began as a new series in silver hues, initially titled 'Elham's Portraits,' but it eventually evolved into a golden series, which I exhibited as my first solo show titled 'Lady's Transformation' in Kuala Lumpur's Art Accent Gallery. While the silver collection was characterized by a solid structural arrangement and pure logic, I transitioned into the fluid and dynamic realm of the golden series. Although this collection may appear to employ a cubistic arrangement, its internal dynamism prevents the audience from conceptualizing any constructed forms. Instead, it creates a restless space that allows the eyes to wander until these rhythms persist within the mind and heart."
2008/2009 Golden Portraits / A collection of mixed media paintings on canvas
"This was my first serious painting endeavor after I relocated to Malaysia to pursue my master’s degree from 2007 to 2009. I primarily employed charcoal, acrylic, and poster colors on canvas, along with some sketches on cardboard. I predominantly featured my friend's portrait, and by restricting the color palette to gold symbolism, I aimed to evoke the mood of inner light or enlightenment.
2000-2003 / B.A Final Project / Mixed Media on different surfaces
"This collection is associated with my bachelor’s final project, which took place from 2000 to 2003. It revolves around the concept of balance and the interplay between negative and positive spaces. The goal here is to eliminate subjectivity to accentuate the dynamic energy inherent in visual elements. None of the familiar subjects in this collection possesses the solid and expected qualities we typically associate with the traditional understanding of reality. Instead, they function as fluid entities capable of transforming into other forms or even fading into nothingness within the negative space."
